Volunteer mentors for new freelancers
Share what you know. Guide a new freelancer through their profile, their first client conversations and their first paid gigs.
Mentors are the difference between a certificate and a first paid job. We are looking for freelancers, professionals and small-business owners who can give a little time each week to a learner.
What mentors do
- Review a learner’s profile and portfolio
- Help them prepare for client conversations and price their work
- Check in through their first paid assignments
Mentoring can be online or in person. We match you with learners in a field you know and give you a short orientation, including our safeguarding code.
What we are looking for
- Experience in a digital, creative, technical or business field
- About two hours a week for at least three months
- Commitment to our safeguarding code
